Tel Aviv: Truck attack against passers-by, over 40 injured

A few minutes ago a truck hit some pedestrians near the Cinema City in Gillot, an area of Tel Aviv, injuring at least 40 people. Police said an accident occurred near Cinema City in which a truck hit several people who were near a bus stop. A major police force is arriving on the scene. The driver of the truck was neutralized and it was a terrorist attack. The truck hit at the Glilot intersection, near Herzliya, the area where the headquarters of the Mossad and several IDF intelligence units, including the 8200 intelligence unit.

Magen David Adom reported that his teams have so far treated 21 injured people from the scene of this morning’s Tel Avi ramming, including: 6 in serious condition, 6 in moderate condition and 9 in light condition. There are currently no other injuries at the scene of the attack, but searches are underway in the area.

United Hatzalah EMT volunteer Eliyah Tubul reported from the scene: “A truck and a bus were involved, as well as a large number of pedestrians. United Hatzalah medical teams are currently providing first aid to approximately 40 people (at this stage) who have sustained varying degrees of injuries. Some of them are still trapped under the truck.” Ten injured people, four in serious condition, two in moderate condition and four in mild condition, were transported to Ichilov and Beilinson hospitals. Police ordered motorists to avoid the accident site and find alternative routes.
