There are dozens of preachers, the “shepherds” and the priests who on the internet and social media support, and convince, to have divine skills. The weakest are the expense.
Legs that straighten, tumors that disappear, pains that vanish in an instant, people who begin to speak infused languages – say them – by the Holy Spirit.
There is a world unknown to most, which however is increasingly widespread. Just take a ride on the internet to discover the existence of dozens of santons, shepherds and prophetesses who say they heal even from the most dramatic evils, who go to the member of having a privileged link with the otherworld, Vaticinan catastrophes or directly the end of the world.
«These people are very followed, even by tens of thousands of proselytes, often desperate and precisely for this reason easily manipulable and willing also to give in money. Because it is not uncommon that behind these phenomena there is an economic goal and nothing more », explains Lorita Tinelli, psychologist and founder of Cesap (center of psychological abuse studies), who has been at the forefront for years against everything that has been abusive. The impression, in fact, is that we are in front of an uncontrolled phenomenon. Suffice it to remember Roberto Amatulli, a former hairdresser of Bari who a few years ago followed a polecostal church of the Apulian capital. At some point, however, he was hunted. The reason? He had put herself to preach, baptize people at sea or if necessary in children’s swimming pools. And above all, to heal. Its social pages are full of testimonies and videos in which Amatulli, speaking incomprehensible languages, straightens his legs or chases the devil.
And while he attracts those who want to believe like a magnet, there are desperate people like Tonia: she is Marianna’s mother, a 40 -year -old woman who left everything (including her two children) To go away from Bari and follow Amatulli: “It is six years,” says Tonia, “I don’t see it. And for five years she has not heard her children, in the meantime given to me. I am desperate, “he reveals by bursting into tears. Also because Marianna a few months ago had another child from Amatulli. In one of the many videos published on social networks you can see the newborn (Eliseo) while it is “greased” and “blessed” by the dad-pore. “I wonder how this baby will grow,” Tonia is desperate. «For that man everything is a sin: watching TV, listening to music, going out with friends! I still remember when Marianna’s first two children had a fever. She said: “The shepherd said that medicines are not needed, he heals with prayer”. It was I who hidden and gave them the medicines! ».
From the south we move to the north where “operates” the prophetess Fatima with a small Pentecostal church (However, not recognized by the ADI, the official worship body of the Evangelicals): the afternoon are religious functions, in the morning instead we go to the market to “evangelize”. We went to her, asking for an appointment and pretending a serious illness to the lungs. «You did well to come here, this is the Church of Miracles. Miracles take place here, “he tells the authors of this article as soon as he sees them. Then he explains how he would work: «I am not healing me, but God uses me to do good. I already happened to heal from evils like this », reassures us.
So how to do it? “Meanwhile, start praying, read the Bible. And then you need to be here, this is the real home of Jesus ». Too bad that, whoever attended this world, adds something more to us: “From some testimonies that Cesap has collected”, explains Dr. Tinelli, “it seems that the prophetess asks the tenth, or the tenth part of the salary. And it is not the only one: it is a “practice” that we also speak in the Bible for which the shepherds justify the request with what is written in the sacred scriptures. And the people, easily manipulable because perhaps in a moment of fragility, give way ».
Nothing easier, therefore. And it is also easy for “brother Giuseppe”. Until recently, nothing more was known about him. Not the name, not the face. He simply directed online through his radio, Radio Blast, which collects something like 50 thousand followers. During these live brother Giuseppe never showed up in his face. Yet the proposed things are not insignificant: for this preacher the end of the world is close, the anti -Christ will soon arrive. And then, of course, the usual healings exercised even at a distance and through direct radio. For brother Giuseppe, then, everything is the son of the devil: music, TV, newspapers. Even the plane crash a few weeks ago in India was easily predictable because, his words, “American Boeing planes are not blessed by God, we must avoid them as the plague”. Well, after a long investigation conducted by Farwest, the transmission of deepening of Rai3 conducted by Salvo Sottile, it emerged that behind the name “brother Giuseppe” Giuseppe Avenia, former Italian leader of the “Children of God”, was hidden, an international sect founded by David Berg who proposed exactly the same concepts advanced today by Avenia. A sect ended in dozens of scandals due to the sexual abuse committed on children from an early age. Obviously he, the shepherd, denies all combination to that reality. Yet it remains a doubt: why does a preacher followed by over 50 thousand people do not say his name and does not show up in his face? His answer leaves astonished: “There are too many devils on the web”.
Those who are not afraid to put their face on it is another shepherd, also not recognized by the ADI: Walter Biancalana. Just follow his social page or see his videos to realize the amount of healings that take place during his sermons. White Biancalana are real tours throughout Italy: we are talking about meetings and conferences organized from North to South, during which people of people begin to speak “spiritual” languages, they sell only with the imposition of the hands and heal from all types of evil: tumors, sclerosis, back pain, arthrosis. During an event he also explained that diseases such as diabetes or arthritis are actually born “from the soul”.
Of course, Biancalana publishes messages that come to him from the “faithful” with the healing testimonies. However, that there is medical evidence of these healings becomes decidedly more difficult to say, since nothing is revealed about it. What is certain is that at every event they run envelopes for the collection of donations, without forgetting the books that Walter Biancalana public through what would seem to be his publishing house: WB. The latest testimony published by the shepherd even comes from Argentina because, yes, Biancalana also heals at a distance: «My wife has long been suffering from back pain.
