Italian digital real estate firm accelerates international expansion with acquisition of Silicon Valley open innovation firm. Objective: to become the first European unicorn of Experience as a Service
The future of digital real estate speaks Italian and looks to Silicon Valley. eFMa leading company in intelligent space management, announced the acquisition of Opinnoan international open innovation company founded in 2008 in the cradle of Californian technology.
The operation, signed on 13 October, consolidates the group’s global growth strategy and is part of the path started with the acquisition of Archibus Solution Center Spain last July. The objective is ambitious: to build the first digital architecture in the world capable of combining places, people and innovative content, paving the way for a new generation of integrated experiences.
With the entry of Opinno, eFM enriches its platform MySpot – already recognized by Gartner as among the most innovative in the world – with a content engine and know-how linked to organizational transformation and artificial intelligence. Opinno, in fact, is the publisher of MIT Technology Review in Italy and Spain, and brings with it a network of unique relationships and skills in the international panorama of technological innovation.
“Our goal is to become a European unicorn in the next five years, with over 30 million users worldwide,” he explains Daniele Di FaustoCEO of eFM. «With Opinno we are accelerating towards leadership in the digital management of places as experiences: the first European platform for Experience as a Servicecapable of uniting spaces, people and contents in a single global trajectory.”
An operation that arises from a profound harmony also on the level of values. “Opinno’s mission is to generate impact through innovation,” he says Tommaso CanoniciCo-founder of Opinno and now Chief New Offering Growth of eFM. «In eFM we found an ambitious and international vision, but also an extraordinary cultural affinity. Our union strengthens the growth potential and multiplies the impact we can generate for organizations and people.”
The governance of Opinno Italia will be led by Silvia Amatoformer Director of the company, today appointed General Manager. Together with Canonici, it will continue to develop synergies with the group, extending its presence in new markets and expanding its global technological network.
With this acquisition, eFM takes a decisive step towards a goal that until recently seemed utopian: transforming spaces into experiences and innovation into service. A project that looks to Europe, but thinks big.
