Internal policy and global challenges at the center of the panorama on the road in Naples. The debate with planted, Lollobrigida and Cirielli.
In the setting of Palazzo San Teodoro in Naples, the event was held for the second consecutive year of Panorama on the road. To take part, interviewed by the director of Panorama Maurizio Belpietro, were also the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Plantedosi, the Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, and the deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, Edmondo Cirielli. For the occasion, there was talk of security, tomorrow’s strike, the Italian role in the Middle East and duties.
Events, strikes and irregular landings
With Italy in the middle of protests and clashes, and with the strike called tomorrow, the Minister planted said: “We must make sure that there is no blockage” of the country. And in this regard he explained: “We have adopted organizational measures for which we also prayed, in agreement with the trade union organizations of the police forces, to put legitimate assets such as shifts and permits to service needs”. Citing today’s attack in Manchester, the minister explained that “from 7 October a level of maximum attention has been planned to all those who are the objectives attributable to the Jewish world and the state of Israel”. “The real fear” added “is to intercept, prevent and repress the acts of emulation, those who are the result of suggestions also of not very structured minds that however grasp from these things almost the solicitation to make actions such as those we have seen in Manchester”.
But the Minister of the Interior also intervened on the situation of the irregular landings, underlining that “a fall percentage is being consolidated”. However, he pointed out «We are not satisfied until there is only one who arrives irregularly. Not for phobia, but because I know what is behind, that is, the affarism on migrants, the fact that one ends up only to feed the marginal band that is especially composed of the suburbs of our cities “.
Duties
Minister Lollobrigida expressed himself on the duties. The “strategic objective in the future” is “to avoid duties” between our country and the United States. However, he reiterated that the “critical issues” in “in many agri -food sectors will be contained, because our products are high quality, difficult to imitate, reproducible, indeed for our non -reproducible geographical indications and we do not believe that the American market without these products”.
On the recent positive results achieved in our country, Lollobrigida said: “It is not that I am the most powerful minister in Europe, it is Italy that is a power, a country founder of Europe, especially in the agri -food sector”. Too bad that “whoever preceded us often forgot to make him point out”.
The Italian role in the Middle East
The Italian government “was appreciated by everyone: by all the Arab countries, at the top of the Palestinian Anp, and had an international recognition for the work done to support the children we led to treat here, 196, and over 200 tons of material delivered” said the deputy minis for foreign countries. And referring to the Food for Gaza initiative, he specified that our country has allocated 110 million euros.
