A gesture with a strong symbolic value, which represents further confirmation of the central role that the couple of the principles of Wales is taking in view of the future rise to the throne.

The last state visit dates back to 2014, when Irish President Michael D. Higgins was received.

Kate Middleton, for the first time in Dior

For the occasion, Kate Middleton has chosen a look of great refinement and full of meaning: A Christian Dior suit from the 2024 collection, consisting of the Bar 30 Montaigne jacket in a delicate cipria pink shadereinterpreted by the creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri. The outfit recalls the iconic “New Look” of 1947symbol of tailoring and femininity typical of the French maison.

To complete the ensemble, a Coordinated hat signed Jess Collettone Perle necklace belonging to the private collection of Queen Elisabetta and a couple of pearl earrings that were once by Princess Diana – A discreet but very powerful tribute to his memory.

This is the first time that the Wales Princess wears Dior in an official eventa choice that appears as a clear tribute to the French cultural heritage and a sign of full awareness of the role that awaits it. Despite the difficulties related to the tumor, which she herself defined a “truly complex” phase in the post-cure period, Kate has shown herself impeccable and perfectly at ease in the role-increasingly concrete-of the future queen.
