The now beloved @doggodaiily, tells about a wonderful initiative to revive our four-legged friends
By Navid Tarazi, known to all as @doggodaiilyan Iranian boy who arrived in Turin three years ago thanks to a scholarship at the Polytechnic, we spoke a few months ago. (https://www.panorama.it/lifestyle/doggodaiily-la-scoperta-del-profondo-legame-tra-i-cani-ei-loro-padroni)
In recent years he has been able to enchant thousands of people – and especially their dogs – with his grace and kindness. Quality that he was able to transpose first into wonderful photographs and then into a book that has been top of the charts for weeks, entitled precisely “Can I take a photo of your dog?”
To understand that Navid was an extraordinary person it wasn’t necessary to wait for the interview, the posts on his profile and his stories overflow with genuine sensitivity. Navid knows how to make every meeting magicalthe dogs seem to be won over by him instantly and their owners are even happier than their fur babies!
For this Christmas, @doggodaiily has created a new magic.
A tree that you don’t expect and that in its own way is full of life. The one that our much loved animals lived, that life that they filled us with breaths of pure joy, that life that they shattered us with their farewell. In the setting of an elegant historic garden, in the Sambuy Gardens, in Turin, a pendulous beech has become a Dog memorial treewhere you can hang photographs, messages, memories of your animals who have now disappeared, but who continue to live.
Navid, the tree initiative is involving thousands of people.
“Every day I meet people who have lost a dog and who tell me how difficult it is to manage that emptiness. We all need a place to “rest” the pain, a way to say: I really loved you. I thought of this tree as a physical point where everyone can leave a thought, a photo, a name. A simple thing, but very human. It’s nice to see people who don’t know each other talking to each other, consoling each other, talking about their dogs as if they were still there. It has spontaneously become a community space.”
Every project you create transforms into deep empathy
“@doggodaiily was born listening to the stories of people and their dogs, and this tree is the most intimate part of all that work: a place where the bond continues. I also wanted to give dignity to animal grief, which is often underestimated. They are part of our lives in every respect.”
Hearing these words from a boy whose country of origin practically prohibits the love of dogs makes you understand how these special beings know how to give not only unconditional love, but a joy, comfort and profound therapeutic nature that only those who have been lucky enough to love a dog can truly understand.
