The project of five Milanese musicians between captivating grooves, enveloping melodies and space for improvisation
Sedan is a musical collective born from the meeting of five musicians from the Milanese scene. The project takes shape from the interweaving of R&B, soul, pop and hip hop influences, which the band reworks into a personal, fresh and contemporary stylistic signature.
The result is an original sound that moves naturally between memory and modernity. As demonstrated by the two singles released so far, Clouds over the sea and the new First person singularbetween nu jazz and R&B, which speaks ironically about the constant need for visibility and approval that characterizes our era: «We felt the need to write a song that showcases the behaviors of some people who often make us turn up our noses. We were amused by the idea of exposing these very individualistic and egocentric personalities, making everything bittersweet and ironic through our funk arrangements” they say.
Active for about a year in the main clubs of Milan, the group quickly distinguished itself for the intensity of its live concerts. Their performances are characterized by enveloping melodies, dynamic grooves and a large space dedicated to improvisation, an element that makes each performance unique.
In 2025 Berlina were selected for the JAZZMI festival, one of the most important festivals in the city, a recognition confirming the originality of their artistic path and the solidity of the musical proposal.
The band live alternates original compositions, moments of spontaneous interplay and personal reinterpretationsputting the different musical sensibilities of the five members into dialogue and creating an engaging and constantly evolving sound experience. – In concert at the Bluesquare in Milan (Via Tortona) on March 26th at 9pm.
