Until Sunday 14 December, a store that smells of history, music and art to celebrate fifty years of a legendary record

These words belong to one of the most iconic, heartfelt and extraordinary songs ever written in the entire history of music.

In the spring of 1968. Syd Barrett was more or less officially removed from the much loved group founded three years earlier.

To do so, on behalf of the whole band, is their friend, perhaps their best, Roger Waters. The decision is terribly harsh, but necessary for the survival of that group destined to become legend: Pink Floyd.

A few years later, Roger Waters himself composed, thinking of his friend, alienated from his own life, “We wish you were here”, masterpiece that will give the album its title. Album that today, December 12th, he turns 50. And to celebrate this masterpiece, special Pop Up Stores are opening all over the world: London, Barcelona, ​​Los Angeles, Paris, Berlin and Milan.

Until Sunday 14 December, in Milan, in Via Ripa di Porta Ticinese, 47 (from 11.00 to 23.00), the Pop Up Store will host an exclusive “Wish You Were Here 50” edition of the Brain Damage fanzine, prints, commemorative merchandise and a limited edition of the album on white vinyl.

It will be possible purchase a preview of all the new editions of “Wish You Were Here 50”: 3LP, 1LP, 2CD, Blu-ray and deluxe box set.

A store that smells of history, music and art, with contaminations of visual games created by Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey “Po” Powell of the Hipgnosis studio.
