15 years after the murder of Yara Gambirasio, Canale 5 proposes the film event by Marco Tullio Giordana. Meanwhile, the Bossetti case returns to the center of attention with new judicial developments
The case of Yara Gambirasio He returns to the center of media and public attention, fifteen years after the atrocious crime he upset Brembate di Soprasmall town in the province of Bergamo. After the interview by Francesca Fagnani to Massimo Bossetti, definitively sentenced for the murder of the thirteen year old, a new turning point arrives: Bossetti’s defense will be able to view high resolution copies of photographic images and graphic representations of DNA analyzes carried out by the Ris of Parma. To decide it was the Court of BergamOr, who accepted the request for defense, entrusting the examination of these materials to the consultant Marzio Capra, dating back to the provision of the Assize Court of 27 November 2019.
Massimo Bossetti, sentenced to life imprisonment in all three degrees of judgment, has always supported his innocence. The queen test underlying the sentence remains the presence of its nuclear DNA on the intimate clothing of Yara, initially identified as “Unknown 1” and only later brought back to him, after his arrest on June 16, 2014.

Not a simple documentary, but a feature film directed by Marco Tullio Giordanaaward -winning director with four David di Donatello and five silver ribbons, which traces the crucial stages of this painful story.
Yarareleased in 2021, will be broadcast in an absolute vision at 9.20 pm on Canale 5 and streaming on Mediaset Infinity. The film tells the investigations that led toincrimination and condemnation of Massimo Bossettiresponsible for the murder of the young man who disappeared on November 26, 2010 and found lifeless three months later in a field in Chignolo d’Isola. At the center of investigations the prosecutor Letizia Ruggeri, who decided to submit the entire local population to the DNA examination – a procedure never attempted before – thus allowing to arrive at the case solution.

The filming, although set between Brembate di Sopra and Chignolo D’Isola, were shot at the gates of Rome, in Fiano Romano and San Vito Romano. Produced by Toodue, the film was distributed in Italian cinemas on October 18, 2021 and on Netflix globally from November 5 of the same year.
The Gambirasio family has chosen not to collaborate with production, having been contacted by the director Marco Tullio Giordana only in some final stages of the processing.
