Eight episodes to relive the Derry of the 60s before the events of IT. The new HBO series, available on Sky and NOW, brings Pennywise to the screen and a prequel faithful to the atmosphere of Stephen King’s cult novel.

How many 90s kids were traumatized by one paper boat which ended up in a manhole and from that hole came out a clown nightmarish. Because returning to Derry was necessary

The question arises spontaneously as to whether it was needed return to Derry and the answer is yes. Jason Fuchs And Brad Caleb Kane, showrunner of the series developed by Andy Muschietti with the sister Barbarathey chose to set the series in the 60sin a period preceding the original novel. Besides, the same Stephen King had broken into pieces interludes the past appearances of Pennywisegoing back to 27 years old from the 80’s Losers Club. This is what happens behind the screen: Muschietti’s films were set in the present day, and a prequel that retraces the same period of the past seems natural. From the first impressions of those who saw the first episode released on October 26 in the United States, it seems that the creators have managed to recover the right size of the Sixties and above all to bring the horror atmospheres of the novel, also thanks to the usual resources of HBO.

A scary marketing campaign
