“The wheel of luck” are back with Gerry Scotti and “Sarabanda” with Enrico Papi

Mediaset relaunches the access and the summer pre -evening with two iconic formats in renewed version. Pier Silvio Berlusconi announces a profound transformation of Canale 5, while “Striscia la Notizia” will return in November in a new guise.

Summer 2025 marks the beginning of a new course for Canale 5. The flagship network of Mediaset inaugurates a project of profound editorial evolution starting from two icons of Italian television: the wheel of fortune and Sarabanda. Two historical quizzes on air with a completely renewed guise, destined to occupy the key bands of the prime time access and the pre -evening, starting from 14 and 21 July.

Gerry Scotti returns with the wheel of luck

From Monday 14 July, at 8:40 pm, a new edition of La Ruota della Fortuna, entrusted to the conduct of Gerry Scotti, made its new edition. The game show, renewed in the study and in the formula, includes a live music band and an unpublished surprise ending, designed to keep the tension high until the last second. A return to the sign of the show and traditional entertainment, revisited with more contemporary languages.

Enrico Papi brings Sarabanda back to TV

Starting from Monday 21 July, in the pre -evening band of 18:45, Enrico Papi will put Sarabanda, the legendary Mediaset music quiz. The summer edition will be non Vip, with common competitors and renewed mechanisms, but there will be some cult elements, such as the famous 7 × 30 test, in which seven songs in thirty seconds must be guessed. A return that focuses on the emotional memory of the public and on the energy of the format, adapted to current times.

Pier Silvio Berlusconi: «A new course for the flagship network

The CEO of Mediaset, Pier Silvio Berlusconi, defined this phase of rethinking access and pre -evening as “the first step of a gradual but profound project for the evolution of our flagship network”. In full harmony with the Mediaset spirit, the route also includes a repositioning of Striscia la Notizia, which will return to air in November, in a completely updated guise, the result of a job shared with Antonio Ricci.

Paperissima Sprint moves on Italy 1

In the meantime, always in agreement with Antonio Ricci, Paperissima Sprint changes channel and time: it will be broadcast on Italia 1, in the pre -evening band, immediately after Sport Mediaset, instead of the traditional episodes of I Simpson. A strategic choice that redesigns the perimeter of the summer content of entertainment in the Mediaset house, distributing them in a more targeted way between Canale 5 and Italy 1.
