After Obama’s declarations that “aliens are real”, the American President ordered the release of all documents relating to UFOs and UAPs. But accusations are pouring in: “He wants to divert attention from the Epstein Files.”
Are there alien life forms? We might find out soon. Because the American President Donald Trump announced today that he wants to declassify all government documents relating to UFOs and aliens.
Trump’s announcement
The announcement came via the usual post published on the Truth social network, owned by Trump himself, in which he asked the US Department of Defense to declassify and publish all government documents relating to alien life, aerial phenomena and unidentified flying objects.
«Given the enormous interest shown – wrote the tycoon – I will direct the Secretary of Defense and other relevant Departments and Agencies to begin the process of identifying and disclosing government documents relating to alien and extraterrestrial life.”
The declassification will concern «all unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) and to unidentified flying objects (UFOs), as well as any other information related to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important issues.”
The words of former President Obama
This move comes a few days after the former President’s surprising statements Barack Obama.
In a podcast with Brian Tyler published on Sunday, the former Democratic president stated: «Aliens are realbut I’ve never seen one. They are not required in Area 51 and there is no secret facilityunless there is a huge conspiracy hidden even from the president.”
The video naturally went viral, because despite denying the theories that see Area 51 as a secret center where the bodies of aliens and/or crashed spacecraft would be kept, that “they are real” said by a former American President can only generate amazement and curiosity.
Obama himself has also made partial amendsor a correction of the aim, if we prefer, writing on Monday via social media that he was only trying “to respect the spirit of the quick round (a part of the podcast in which point-blank questions and answers take place, ed.)”.
The frenzy generated, Obama continues, requires «clarification. Statistically, the universe is so vast that there is a good chance that there is life out there”, “but the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances that we have been visited by aliens are low, and During my presidency I have seen no evidence that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really!”.
Trump’s initial criticism
Interviewed just yesterday afternoon regarding the former President’s words, Trump had criticized Obama for allegedly declassifying classified material.
«He revealed classified informationTrump declared aboard Air Force One, “and he must not do so.”
When asked if he also believed in the existence of aliens, the tycoon he declared: «I don’t know if they are true or not, I don’t have an opinion. I never talk about it, many people talk about it. Many believe it.”
Between 2023 and 2024 as many as 757 unidentified aerial phenomena
According to AARO’s latest annual report (All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office of the US Department of Defense), published in November 2024, there were 757 new cases of UAP reported between May 1, 2023 and June 1, 2024.
Although most of these (over 90% of those solved) have been explained as ordinary objects: drones, hot air balloons, atmospheric phenomena, birds or space debris, about twenty would be true UAPs.
An emblematic example occurred on September 9, 2025, during the House Oversight hearing on the UAP issue, the Republican congressman Eric Burlison first showed a video from October 30, 2024 taken by an MQ-9 Reaper drone off the coast of Yemen.
In it you see a spherical luminous object (orb). chased by a drone Reapers; a second drone launches a missile Hellfire AGM-114 which appears to hit the object and bounce off, while the orb continues to fly without any noticeable damage.
Accusations of diverting attention from the Epstein Files
Naturally, Trump’s decision triggered fierce controversy on social mediaparticularly X, where even members of the Republican Party interpreted the decision as an attempt to remove attention from the Epstein Files.
«They have deployed the ultimate weapon of mass distraction», commented the Republican deputy Thomas Massieone of Trump’s most vocal critics of his handling of Epstein, «but the Files don’t go away… not even for aliens.”
The former deputy is also critical Adam Kinzingerwho commenting on the upcoming release of documents relating to aliens wrote ironically: «And what about the 2 million files still to be released?”.
