The hunt is on for the gang of professional robbers who on Thursday 16 April 2026, around midday, kept the city in suspense for hours with a movie-like robbery. The thieves stole part of the contents of dozens of safes from the Credit Agricole vault in Piazza Medaglie d’Oro, in the Vomero district, before fleeing through the sewers. In a video released by the carabinieri, the geologist Gianluca Minin shows the graphic elaboration of the excavations carried out under the vault. The gang used the tunnel to carry out the robbery and escape with the loot (source Ansa Video).
