Alcaraz’s ordeal continues “Forced to skip Wimbledon”

The Spaniard announced on Instagram that he will not be able to participate in the English grass tournament after missing Rome and Roland Garros due to a wrist injury

The ordeal of Carlos Alcaraz continues. The former world number one who has already had to give up the tournaments in Rome and Paris due to a wrist injury that occurred during the Barcelona tournament (immediately after the knockout in Monte Carlo) he will not participate in the most important tournament of the season, Wimbledon on grass. Alcaraz announced it in a post on Instagram in which he explains that he will also have to give up the Queen’s tournament which precedes the London one. “My recovery is progressing well and I feel much better, but unfortunately I am not yet ready to play and for this reason I have to give up the grass tour at Queen’s and Wimbledon. They are two very special tournaments for me and I will miss them very much. Let’s keep working to get back as soon as possible!”.

Still bandaged

It was published recently a video of Alcaraz for a sponsorthe fintech chain Ant International, announcing the Spaniard’s new role as global brand ambassador. A classic promotional spot, with fragments of the player’s actions on the pitch and some of his words. What steals the eye, however, is Carlitos’ right wriststill protected by the brace as in the days immediately following the injury. A situation that had led to questions about the date of his return, which is now postponed again.
