From the catwalks to the front rows of Milan Fashion Week, the Danish model is building an increasingly international career, while keeping her relationship with Jannik Sinner out of the spotlight.
Laila Hasanovic arrives on the Genny catwalk when her name no longer needs the stands of a tennis court to attract attention. At Milan Fashion Week, the Danish model is among the protagonists of the Spring Summer 2027 collection designed by Sara Cavazza Facchini, entitled The Queen of the Desert: an imaginary landscape in which botanical, animal and mineral elements construct the idea of a free and conscious femininity.
Hasanovic parades with a very light look, composed of shorts and a coordinated blouse with a botanical print, with wide sleeves, lace inserts, a deep neckline closed by a knot and a collar illuminated by colored stones. An ethereal and sensual silhouette that seems particularly close to the model’s image: feminine without being affected, sophisticated but apparently natural.
However, Genny’s presence does not come in isolation. In the first days of Milan Fashion Week Hasanovic had already appeared at Vogue World Milan and in the front rows of Antonio Marras and Missoni.
Who is Laila Hasanovic
Born on 8 November 2000 in Copenhagen to a family of Bosnian origins and raised in Svendborg, Laila Hasanovic belongs to a generation of models whose image was formed simultaneously in front of the camera and on social media. In fact, she began to talk about her daily life online at a very young age and, during a period spent as an exchange student in the United States, she transformed that experience into content published on YouTube.
Fashion arrived progressively. After graduating she moved to Copenhagen, where professional opportunities were greater, building a career over the years between campaigns, shootings and catwalks. In 2019 she entered the Top 10 of Miss Denmark, while subsequently her face was also associated with beauty brands such as Armani Beauty and Prada Beauty.
However, 2026 seems to have marked an acceleration. At Copenhagen Fashion Week she showed for OpéraSport, wearing a black bodysuit under a transparent chiffon cape with a botanical motif; in June she instead entered the show built by Achille Lauro for Dondup at San Siro. A decidedly unusual catwalk, in front of the stadium audience, which Hasanovic described as one of the most important moments of his professional career.
In September she also returned to the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival and, shortly before Milan, she attracted attention again during Copenhagen Fashion Week by walking for Søren Le Schmidt with a sculptural corset, a large tulle skirt and a veil. A wedding dress that inevitably sparked gossip about her relationship with Jannik Sinner, even though it was simply the look chosen by the designer to close the show.

It is inevitable, at least for the moment, that Hasanovic’s name will be associated with that of Jannik Sinner. Their story would have begun in the spring of 2025 and, according to what was reconstructed by the press, the intermediary would have been Alex Meliss, a social media manager who worked with both.
The first clues came in May of the same year, when Sinner was spotted in Copenhagen, Hasanovic’s hometown. Shortly afterwards the model appears among the audience at Roland Garros and subsequently at Wimbledon, always far from the official box and without the two confirming the relationship. Before the US Open Sinner simply declared that he was in love, without naming names.
Confirmation arrives only in October 2025 in Vienna. During the awards ceremony, with Hasanovic sitting in the stands next to the tennis player’s family, Sinner publicly thanks “my family, my girlfriend”, acknowledging the relationship for the first time.
From that moment on, Hasanovic appears more openly at his side, until entering the box at the ATP Finals in Turin, without this changing the extremely reserved approach of the couple. No statements about their daily lives and very few images shared directly.
