On the occasion of Emerald Fennell’s new film, Airbnb offers an immersive experience in Wuthering Heights: a stay inspired by Emily Brontë’s novel in the heart of Yorkshire
It’s not a love story. It’s a fever. Wuthering Heights it does not tell of reconcilable feelings, but of bonds that devour, landscapes that absorb bodies, houses that retain the voices of those who have lived in them. And perhaps this is why, almost two centuries after the publication of Emily Brontë’s novel, those rooms continue to exert an irrational attraction.
Today, among the Yorkshire moors, that call becomes concrete again. Not on the page, but in the physical space of a home. And a room.
The initiative of. fits into this dialogue between cinema, memory and collective imagination Airbnbwhich for the first time opens to the public an experience inspired by the film: a stay in Cathy Earnshaw’s room at Thrushcross Grange, the symbolic home of the emotional universe of Wuthering Heights.
From 27 February to 4 March 2026, three couples will be able to spend a night in one of the most iconic places of nineteenth-century literature, transformed by cinema into a habitable space, full of suggestions, desire and restlessness.
Cathy’s room: an interior that tells the story of a character

Cathy’s bedroom is not a simple scenographic reconstruction. It is an environment designed to restore the complexity of the character, as reinterpreted by Fennell’s vision. Walls in warm tones, layered materials, details that seem to preserve traces of a presence that has never completely vanished: locks of hair woven into the table, fabrics that recall daily gestures, surfaces that evoke a restless interior world.
The room becomes an active part of the story, a place that does not limit itself to hosting but observes, holds, suggests. An interior that speaks of desire, belonging and loss, as if Cathy had just left leaving behind a persistent echo.
Thrushcross Grange, between elegance and rituals
The experience also extends to the Thrushcross Grange dining room, where guests are welcomed to a candlelit dinner inspired by Yorkshire dining traditions and the meals shown in the film adaptation. Silverware, muffled atmospheres, a ritual that recalls the idea of home as a social and symbolic space.
The evening continues with a more intimate moment: a private session listening to the film’s official soundtrack Wuthering Heightswith songs by Charli XCX, designed as a shared emotional experience. At the end, guests are given an exclusive vinyl inspired by the film, a souvenir object that links sonic memory and physical permanence.
The moors as a narrative landscape
Outside the interior, the territory speaks. The moors of Yorkshire they remain the beating heart of the experience: open spaces, wind, irregular horizons that inspired Emily Bronte and who today return as protagonists on the screen too.
The stay includes a horseback ride across the moors, a traditional afternoon tea dedicated to local flavors and a visit to the Brontë Parsonage, the house museum of the Brontë sisters, to reconstruct the cultural and family context from which the novel was born. The following morning, the savory breakfast – eggs and soldiers – closes the experience with a direct reference to the imagery of the film.
Cinema, travel and shared imagination
According to Airbnb’s internal data, global searches for romantic stays around Valentine’s Day grew by almost 24 percent, a sign of renewed interest in experiences that intertwine emotion, narrative and place. In this sense, Wuthering Heights it becomes not just a film, but a cultural device capable of reactivating territories and imaginaries.
As underlined by Warner Bros. Pictures, the reading of Emerald Fennell arises from a personal relationship with the love story between Cathy and Heathcliff and with the wild nature of Yorkshire, a central element both in the novel and in its film adaptation.
How to participate
The experience is available for three separate stays, each for two guests, between February 27 and March 4, 2026. Participation is free, while travel and transfers are the guests’ responsibility.
