Anchorage summit, a red carpet triumph for the Russians. Kiev: “Disgusting, shameful and useless”

In Anchorage Trump and Putin they hold their hand: Moscow exults, Ukraine speaks of “shameful summit”. Meanwhile, Rublo flies and missiles continue to fall

An invisible B-2 bomber escorted by four F-22 fighters flew also during the summit between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. A scenography designed to give the American power image and, at the same time, to seal the most sought after photo: the red carpet spread under the foot of the tsar. No document signed, no road map, yet so much was enough to transform the encounter into an image victory for the Kremlin.

Moscow sings victory

In Moscow the commentators have no doubts: Putin has gained time, without granting anything. Former president Dmitri Medvedev spoke of “mechanism restored to the highest levels” and the fact that “no pressure was exercised on Russia”. The ultra -annualist galaxy celebrated the summit as a triumphant gear: “Russia is not interested in ceasing the fire, we are advancing,” said Oleg Tarso, a historical face of Putinism.

On phylog overnight media, from Tsargrad to Oligorca Malofeev, the refrain is only one: “Putin remains the best negotiator in the world”. Meanwhile, the Rublo, after months of stall, starts again.

Kiev between anger and despair

On the other side of the front, in Ukraine, the perception is opposite. “Now let’s get ready for new bombings, more violent than before,” they say to Kiev. In the same hours of the summit, Russian drones and missiles hit Sumy, killing civilians and destroying railway infrastructures.

The intellectuals gathered in the capital speak of a summit that has not solved anything and which, on the contrary, strengthens the tsar. “Trump has not obtained the ceased the fire he promises since the beginning of his mandate, but he cleared Putin cleared,” writes the Kyiv Post.

The judgment of the Ukrainian media

“A nauseating encounter, and Putin loved him,” he holds the Kyiv Independent. “Disgusting, shameful and useless: these are the words that describe the summit”, continues the editorial. The accusation is clear: while Trump offers a stage in Moscow, the Ukrainian cities continue to burn under the Shad drones and Iskander missiles.

The uncertain future

If for Moscow the photo is worth a diplomatic victory and for Kiev it is yet another blow to the morality, the feeling that the anchorage summit has changed the tone of the game remains. There will be no fire, at least for now. Putin comes out strengthened on an internal level, Trump returns to the international scene, while Zelensky is preparing for a difficult meeting in Washington. War continues, and Europe remains with the ball in hand: deciding whether to remain rigid or dirty in compromise.
