Diving from great heights: World Aquatics confirms the Porto Flavia stage

For the third consecutive year the second stage of the world championships will take place in the natural arena of the Iglesias coast

The great spectacle of diving from great heights is preparing to return, for the third consecutive year, to the evocative setting of Porto Flavia. World Aquatics. First there will be the seasonal debut of Fort Lauderdale (USA), scheduled for 10 and 11 April 2027. The appointment of Porto Flavia is part of the multi-year partnership between the World Aquatics federation and Marmeeting, an Italian company leader in the organization of events dedicated to High Diving. The athletes will compete by launching directly from the historic cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean — from platforms located at 27 meters for men And 20 meters for women —, transforming the mining site and the coast of Iglesias into a natural arena without equal. The two stages will represent the fundamental point for achieving qualification for the World Swimming Championshipswhich will be held in Budapest from 26 June to 18 July 2027. To obtain the world championship pass, athletes must have competed in at least one World Cup event in both 2026 and 2027 and obtain a minimum score standard of 200 points for men and 160 points for women.
