In Maranello they worked on the engines of Leclerc and Hamilton’s SF-26s also in view of Monza. Team principal Vasseur: “We are ready for the grand finale”
The holidays for Formula 1 are over, the great single-seater circus has landed in Holland where the first grand prix of the second part of the season will take place over the weekend. A very delicate appointment to verify how the teams worked during the break, in particular Ferrari aiming to present itself with a more powerful enginean update to Aduo that should allow you to Leclerc and Hamilton to show up with a faster SF-26 even on the straights of Monza, the Italian Grand Prix on September 6th is in fact the other highly anticipated stage in which the people of the Red team will once again rally around their idols with the hope of celebrating a victory and getting closer to Mercedes. Monza will be a special weekend for the Italian fans because there will also be the current world record holder to follow, that Kimi Antonelli who was the absolute protagonist of the season. In short, Monza will be tricolor more than ever, but first we will have to see how the duel between Mercedes and Ferrari in Zandvoort goes. The layout of the Zandvoort circuit which includes a sequence of fast corners, changes of direction without forgetting the iconic bank and, considering the narrow track, has the consequence high complexity for drivers to overtake, making qualifying fundamental and even more so on a weekend that hosts the sprint format in which the only free practice session will be fundamental to finding the right set-up.

Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur took stock on the eve of the Dutch Grand Prix. “Zandvoort marks the start of the second part of the season: our approach remains the same, take one race at a time and focus on ourselves. We recharged our batteries and we are ready for what we expect to be a very close competition. As always with the Sprint format, we will only have one free practice session before Sprint Qualifying, which makes preparation and getting everything right from the first laps even more important. Zandvoort is a demanding track for both the drivers and the cars and our objective will be to put ourselves in the best possible conditions to make the most of the opportunities that arise.”
