Fashion celebrates it with the artist’s jacket of Thermore and Jacopo Ascari

The Italian illustrator signs a puffer jacket symbol of beauty and responsibility

On the occasion of World Earth Day, the Italian Thermore company, a point of reference in the innovation of sustainable thermal padding, presents a project that combines fashion, art and environmental commitment. At his side, the illustrator and artist Jacopo Ascari and the English brand Contrado give life to a collaboration that is, first of all, an act of love towards the planet.

The project is titled “All about my mother (earth)” and stems from the desire to translate into images the urgency of taking care of the earth, with the same respect and the same dedication that they reserve for a mother. The illustrations signed by Jacopo Ascari embellish a jacket puffer produced by Contrado, made with the thermore® Ecodown padding, with low environmental impact, obtained from post-consumer recycled fibers.

Art as a form of activism

Ascari drew inspiration from the imagination of Botticelli, Klimt and Picasso, reinterpreting female figures symbol of rebirth, courage and protection. Its tables become visual, intense and melancholy metaphors of our link with the earth, and at the same time powerful recall to individual and collective responsibility.

The title itself is a reference to the famous film by Pedro Almodóvar, suggesting an emotional and visceral relationship with the planet: “I imagined a series of images that spoke to the heart, evoking female icons of art history …”, explains the artist. “I believe that art, like fashion, has the power to sensitize and move consciences.”

Conscious fashion and responsible materials

I contrast, always attentive to an ethical production thanks to the on-demand model that reduces waste, has enthusiastically welcomed the vision of Ascari and Thermore. “This collaboration embodies our idea of combining art and conscious fashion,” said Chris Childs, director of the brand.

Technological heart of the project is Thermore® Ecodown, a padding obtained entirely by post-consumer pets, which combines high performances with a strong environmental responsibility. “We believe that sustainability must be at the center of every innovation,” said Laura Beachy, the VP Global Marketing of Thermore.

A message wearing

What is born is a jacket that tells a story, which goes beyond the aesthetic to transform into a means of powerful communication. The message is clear: beauty can and must save the world. It is not a simple capsule collection, but a visual manifesto, an invitation to rethink our relationship with the earth with delicacy, respect and profound gratitude.

In an era in which fashion must necessarily become a spokesperson for new values, Thermore, Jacopo Ascari and Contrado show that it is possible to combine design, ethics and environmental commitment in a single creative gesture. A gesture that, like any work of art, invites us to look beyond appearance and reflect on our place in the world.
