The Gucci’s Cruise collection pays homage to its city of origin by parading in the historic Palazzo Settimanni, on the streets and finally in the iconic Piazza Santo Spirito.
Sophisticated and seductive, the new Cruise collection of Gucci celebrates the identity of the brand, its heritage and the strong connection with the city of origin.
In this moment of transition, pending the first collection of the new creative director Demna Gvasalia, the staff of the creative study defined an impeccable narration of style, reworking the archives and moving between two distinct aesthetics, the minimalist of Saturday de Sarno and the opulent and nostalgic one of Alessandro Michele.
Thus was born a contemporary collection influenced by past decades.
The Gucci Cruise 2026 collection
There are the dresses and the trench coats of sixty flavor but also the important shoulders of the jackets stolen from the eighties as well as the furs, in a constant game of contrasts and proportions. The new Gucci woman has a rebellious and mysterious charm, she hides behind large glasses, she has broken hair and evokes the muses of French cinema years, from Brigitte Bardot, to Jeanne Moreau and Catherine Denevue, an atmosphere also suggested by the soundtrack of the parade.
Tradition and craftsmanship, however, remain an all -Italian heritage and underline the historicity and excellence of the brand especially in the processing of leather goods and in the use of fabrics related to the cradle of the Renaissance, such as brocades, thirst, velvets and jacquard.
The double GG becomes a common thread, repeated on tights, leggings and bags, the latter rewritten in part by those of archive, others born from the creative inspiration of the team, such as the bag with a half -terminal half, the new Vanity Bag and the Gucci Giglio, tribute to the flower symbol of Florence.
The footwear win the eye at the Bon-Ton sixties, between sabot and sling-backs from the minimum key.
The location of the parade
The parade, as announced, took place between the walls of Palazzo Settimanni, historic building today home to the archives of the Maison, which hosted a highly selected number of Vic and VIP including Paul Mescal (the new gladiator), Viola Davis, Julia Garner, Jeff and Emily Goldblum, Mark Ronson and Pietro Castellitto.
After the catwalk inside the palace, Gucci paid homage to the city by unexpectedly leaving the models on the street (via delle boiler where it is located Palazzo Settimanni) who walked to Piazza Santo Spirito, fascinating and iconic Piazza Fiorentino, where they paraded around the famous fountain, just restored (obviously restoration against Gucci).
