“Growing young young people, inside and off the pitch”

The E80 Group Foundation inaugurates its commitment with a charity dinner at Villa Tacoli: donations doubled by the Mediolanum Foundation up to 150,000 euros to support national projects in the sports, education and inclusion sectors

An intense evening, participated and full of meaning marked the official beginning of the path of the E80 Group Foundation, a philanthropic body just made up of E80 Group and already at the center of an important social impact project: “growing young people, inside and off the pitch”.

The Charity Dinner, held on Saturday 7 June at the suggestive Villa Tacoli of Albinea – historical residence and today the seat of the Foundation – represented not only a convivial moment, but above all a concrete occasion to translate values into action, giving voice to a clear and shared vision: to build, through sport, educational and inclusive paths for children and young people, in particular for those who live in contexts of economic, social or social fragility.

The event saw the participation of exponents of the world of the company, the third sector, the institutions and civil society, united by a common goal: to invest in the future of the new generations. A commitment that has found a decisive strengthening thanks to the support of the Mediolanum Foundation, charity partner of the evening, which announced the doubling of all the funds raised during the evening up to € 150,000, thus multiplying the impact of the project in terms of resources and opportunities.

The entire proceeds from the event will be destined to support targeted interventions in the territories, offering young people in situations of economic, social or cultural unease the opportunity to access sports and educational paths designed to bring out their talent and strengthen their future.

The project “Growing young young people, inside and off the pitch” It is three years and places sport at the center of an educational model, inclusive and participatory. It aims to promote healthy lifestyles and psychophysical well -being, to prevent school abandonment and youth discomfort, to create synergies between school, sports and the world of business and economically support families in difficulty, contrasting inequalities and marginalization, enhancing legality, diversity and cohesion.

The Prefect of Reggio Emilia, Maria Rita Coccifasymbol of the commitment of institutions to affirm the culture of legality and civic commitment, said: “Projects such as that of the E80 Foundation are the best antidote and a form of concrete prevention that can adequately counteract phenomena of widespread illegality, difficult to manage with only repression. Help young people, especially in situations of economic and cultural fragility, to undertake paths of education, training and adhesion to the values of legality and respect for the rules allows them to provide them with a healthy and productive life. More noble than the term when it favors the team game, the sense of community and the pursuit of the common good.

The institutions are alongside and indeed have the task of supporting and promoting the projects having this purpose, with the hope that other “enlightened” entrepreneurs, who make social enterprise, attentive to the needs of the territories, can follow this path that enhances the values of legality, solidarity and commitment “.

Sport thus becomes a bridge between generations, a place of growth and dialogue, a gym of life where young people can develop transversal skills, mature awareness and feel an active part of the community. The project is rooted in the territories, building alliances with educational, associative and sports networks already existing to respond flexible and concretely to the real needs of people and encourage virtuous connections.

A vision that has always animated E80 Group. Ever since, in the early 1980s, President Enrico Grassi gave birth to a dream: to create a company not only innovative, but also regenerative, a benefit company that feeds a development model capable of creating and returning value with the aim of being not one of the best companies in the world, but one of the best companies for the world.

The project aims to become a replicable model, capable of permanently integrating sports activities with educational ones and creating social infrastructures, even in the most fragile contexts.

The resources collected will be intended for educational tutoring, direct support for the most vulnerable families, the redevelopment of sports facilities and the activation of training courses in Italy and abroad.

Will be Doris, president of the Mediolanum EF Foundation and Vice President Banca Mediolanum:This project is the testimony of how together with important results can be achieved and thus we can help make the difference in the life of the most fragile young people. I thank the E80 Group Foundation for involving us in this solidarity project and I thank all the donors who have contributed to giving a new start to these guys, recognizing in them the value of the future. Sport is not only a physical activity, but a real tool for growth, inclusion and personal development. Supporting our young people means building a stronger, resilient and full of hope community together. We will continue this path together with passion and determination, sure that only by joining the forces can we really help change the fate of those who need the most“.”
