INPS, Arianna arrives: the digital assistant for pensions, bonuses and subsidies

Free, without registration and available on the website and app: the INPS virtual assistant helps you find your way among over 400 services. Here’s how it works and how to best use it

«Hi, I’m Arianna, the INPS digital assistant. I’m here to help you, what do you need?”. This is how the Institute’s new virtual assistant, based on artificial intelligence, presents itself. It appears by clicking on the speech bubble icon, both on the INPS portal and in the INPS Mobile app, and helps you orient yourself among over 400 benefits, from pensions to bonuses, up to allowances and subsidies

How Arianna, the INPS virtual assistant, works

The difference compared to the old INPS chatbots is in the way of conversing. No need for bureaucratic language: you can write as you would speak at a counter, explaining your situation with everyday words. Arianna interprets the request and takes into account what was said previously, so the same information does not need to be repeated. If necessary, ask in-depth questions to better understand the need and indicate the most suitable path. On the reliability front, INPS specifies that the answers are based only on sources validated by the Institute. For important matters, such as a pension application, it is still a good idea to check the details on the official benefit page.

What it is for: pensions, bonuses, subsidies and questions

The service covers the main areas of INPS: pensions and social security, work, economic support, subsidies and allowances, businesses and freelancers. In practice, Arianna can help you understand which protections and benefits you are entitled to, find out the requirements for a pension or bonus and be shown the right online procedure for submitting an application.

How to use Arianna on the INPS website and on the app: the guide with all the steps

To use Arianna you don’t need to register or log in: the service is free. On the inps.it website, just click the speech bubble icon, usually at the bottom right, to open the chat window and write the question. In the Inps Mobile app, available for Android and iOS, you can start the conversation from the home page or from the assistance section. To get more precise answers it is best to:

  • write short sentences;
  • ask one question at a time;
  • avoid technicalities;
  • use the quick response buttons that the assistant offers, because they help to narrow the field immediately.

Arianna Inps: test results and upcoming news

Before the launch, INPS measured the results with users. In tests, 97% of usage scenarios ended successfully, 36.6 points more than the previous service. The satisfaction index reached 4.5 out of 5, with an increase of 18.4%, and approximately nine out of ten comments were favorable. The service will be expanded in the coming months. Among the new features announced are assistance even after logging in with your credentials, integration with other Institute services and simulators and help in filling out applications and managing reports.
