Laura Pausini will host the Sanremo Festival with Carlo Conti

33 years after his first participation in the Festival, the pop star takes the stage at the Ariston in a new guise

The announcement was made by Carlo Conti during TG1 at 8pm: “I thank Laura for having enthusiastically accepted my invitation. It is a great honor and a joy. sharing the running of the festival with an artist and a woman as strong, as charismatic and fun as Laura”.

Pausini’s statement followed: “Sanremo is my destiny. My smile. My temptation. My fear. In Sanremo I was born artistically in 1993 with Solitude and this year I return proud and moved because with all the honor and joy in the world I will host the 76th edition of the Festival with Carlo Conti. You never forget the first times and like when you have your first kiss I feel excited. I have spent all the years of my life seeing Sanremo and I never thought I would now find myself in this role. I thank Carlo, the esteem I have always felt for him has also become trust, he managed to unlock my fear in imagining myself as a presenter. I can’t wait to have fun and be moved with him by my side. I will really do everything I can to live up to this stage.”

Laura Pausini has been the most popular Italian singer in the world for years with 75 million records sold, over 6 billion clicks in streaming, as well as the first and only Italian to win a Grammy Award and enter the American Billboard Hot 100 chart. In her collection of international awards there is also a Golden Globe, a nomination for an Oscar and an Emmy Awards.
