There was no mob behind the October 17 Movement. There wasn’t even a disadvantaged boy, one of those who remain on the margins of society and who simply cannot integrate. There was, however, Youssef Siher. Moroccan origin, second generation Italian. Graduated from the Enrico Fermi scientific high school in Salò, he then studied Humanistic Sciences for Communication at the State of Milan where he continued his path with a master’s degree in political science and government. Journalist, collaborator of the daily Fatto and intern ofInspi in 2024. Siher is, at least on paper, someone who made it.

The mirage of integration and the ideological fracture
Then there is his thoughts, entrusted to articles and social posts.
The esteem towards Hamasthe terrorist organization he attacked Israel on 7 October 2023 (“it does not exploit Islam for political purposes. Islam shapes its struggle for national liberation and against colonialism”). And reducing the massacres carried out by terrorists against Israelis to “a revolutionary act of decolonization”. On October 7, the day of the massacre, Matteo Salvini tweets a message in support of Israel. «Allahu Akbar», Siher replies, then adding colored hearts (black, green and red) that recall the Palestinian flag. After all, he wrote about Voiceover“there are no compromises and nothing less than the liberation and total decolonization of Palestine, from the river to the sea, is accepted.” Without the Jewish State, therefore.
The theorization of aliens and the rejection of the West
Palestine and the fight against colonization are the key to understanding Siher’s thoughts. The elements around which his political action revolves. The desire to punish that same one West who welcomed him and allowed him to study and in which, perhaps, he has always remained a stranger. Together with the other «aliens», whom he decided to take to the streets and whom he described as follows: «Today, millions of aliens live in Italy, totally marginalized, removed and invisible from civil society and the dominant political class. Many of these aliens, subjugated by the colonial mentality, therefore try to “get out” of their condition as strangers, forcing themselves into an internal struggle aimed at distancing themselves and denying their own identity, thus surrendering to the “mainstream” hegemony and submitting completely to the ruling class, with the vain aspiration to become part of that class themselves, not understanding that, at most, they can only aspire to become “honorary members”. And he didn’t want to be.
Because Siher, first of all, feels Arab and Muslim.
For this reason, «in order for diasporas to play a revolutionary role, a process of awareness, political training and autonomous organization in diaspora is necessary. However, this process must maintain a direct link, neither symbolic nor paternalistic, with the forms of resistance in the countries of origin. It is not an abstract solidarity, but a political and material continuity of the struggles, capable of breaking the separation between the “inside” and “external” of the empire.” The goal? Create a «subjectivity that does not seek to reform the West, but to disarticulate it; which does not ask for inclusion, but which undermines the very conditions of exclusion”.
From the platforms of the Central Station to the police raid
Destroying the old world, building a new one. Blowing on the Palestinian cause. On 22 September 2025, during the demonstrations for Gaza, the central station of Milan was stormed. The police barricade themselves. The rioters outside, separated by broken glass. “The day will come when we will break that glass wall you hide behind,” Siher writes. On March 18, 2025, post the photo of Giorgia Meloni together with a Palestinian child and some newspaper headlines on the Italian abstention in the UN vote on the truce in Gaza: “We don’t forget, we don’t lose”, he comments. And he still calls for the intifada in universities with a post dated May 27, 2024.
Yesterday morning he was stopped by the police while he was visiting a friend in Milan and is being investigated for incitement to commit crimes aggravated by the aim of terrorism and the use of IT, apology for crimes, organized violence in public demonstrations (the case introduced in recent days with Security decree). But not only that.
The intelligence dossiers on the Nascent Akatsuki
THE’Italian intelligence had been monitoring Siher since 2024, the year he founded theDawn Organization rising which, according to what was reconstructed by the secret services, spread propaganda attributable to Hamas and others in Muslim communities Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Moreover, Siher’s profile image speaks clearly: a soldier with a keffiyeh and what appears to be a grenade and the writing in Arabic: “You cannot defeat those who believe that death is not the end.” Or again, when quoting the Koran he stated: «Those who have been attacked are given authorization (to defend themselves), because they have certainly been oppressed and, in truth, Allah has the power to help them». But, evidently, not to avoid a police arrest.
