Spalletti, is your Juventus all here?

Juventus is sinking, screwed on itself and on structural and now pathological limits. It sinks and there is no way to see how it can rise again because the cure attempted by Luciano Spalletti it doesn’t work and the feeling is that the season has quickly slipped onto a slippery slope. Lazio won at the Allianz Stadium almost without a shot being fired, as if success were inevitable. The Bianconeri put too little on the pitch to rebel against fate and the defeat (second since the start of the championship) plunges them out of the Europe zone.

Is that all? Question to ask everyone, without distinction. To the club that launched yet another re-foundation, resting it on the quicksand of the previous failure, to Spalletti who was an active part of that failure despite having described it as a great season and to a group of players without leadership and with obvious quality limitations. Is this all Juventus built to return to the Champions League by asking the owners for a 250 million euro effort?

Is this all the sporting project filled with wingers on the market and then desperately declined by putting together Kolo Muani and Woltemade only to then discover that little changes? The first to respond must be Spalletti who in May enjoyed the pass of the direct and privileged relationship with John Elkann and who in the name of this fought and won the internal war with Comolli.

The coach continues to highlight the problems of his players, he spent the summer discussing the club’s investments – all of which were endorsed or requested by him -, he argues with his colleagues, he criticizes journalists and launches into hyperbole that is difficult to understand but then when tested in the field the problems always remain there. Or they get worse, as has been happening from Reggio Emilia onwards: 4 points in the last 4 games (5 in 5 extending the series to a draw with Milan).

Injuries explain something, not everything. The truth is that, having reached two months of football played, it was understood that not even this transfer market, with the handbrake on but not at zero cost, has brought “Juventus” players to Continassa.. Perhaps Alajbegovic could be one, one of those whom Spalletti christened, dismissing him as the directors’ choice. Certainly not Kolo Muani, Woltemade (dry loan), Celik, Vicario (another loan), Sarr or the honest Lucumi. It’s a curse that has haunted the Bianconeri for time immemorial, one coach and one director after another.

The good news is that we are only in mid-October and that 93 points available prevent us from having an impact on the final balance sheets. The bad news is that a year ago these days Juventus had one point more than today (12 against 11), they were moving towards Tudor’s dismissal convinced that the Croatian was the reason for all the evils. It wasn’t like that. Marassi, the match against Allegri’s Napoli which is in dire straits and the trip to Florence before the break are now truly scary.
