A document dated August 14, 2007, the day after the murder of Chiara Poggi, rekindles doubts and feeds the debate on the Garlasco case. The former Marshal Spoto also speaks to “Fourth Grade”, between contrasting versions and rejected accusations
Garlasco’s crime continues to produce surprises. In the episode of 3 October of Fourth degree A receipt of the dated semium family has been shown exclusively August 14, 2007the day following the murder of Chiara Poggi. The receipt comes from the parking lot near the Vigevano bookshop, the same place where Andrea Semplio had declared that he had gone the day before, finding it closed.
The semium family does not precisely remember those who used that parking on that date, but hypothesizes that it was Andrea, who returned to the bookstore after the failed attempt on August 13th. A detail that risks changing the perception on the now famous “receipt of the day of the murder”, preserved by the mother of Semve and delivered to the investigators as possible alibis.
The controversies on the clues
For years the weight of the receipt has been at the center of criticism, interpretations and disputes. The emergence of a second receipt, dated 24 hours after the murder, could reduce the accusations of manipulation and return consistency to the version of the seeds. But the story remains imbued with suspicions, with each document read as an indication or sidetracking.
The outburst of the former Marshal Spoto
In the same episode, it was speaking Giuseppe Spotoa marshal retired today, called into question for his role in the investigative phases. His home was recently forgiven: “It was a shock, but I have nothing to hide,” he said.
Spoto reconstructed the phone call of 8 February 2017 to Andrea Semplio, when he notified him the invitation to appear for an interrogation. He is contested the too colloquial tone – that “having a chat” that sounds ambiguous in the interceptions. “For me it simply meant delivering the notification, nothing else,” he replied.
The microspia and contested minutes
Spoto himself admitted that the meeting with Semve lasted over an hour because, in those minutes, a technician was installing a microspia on the suspended car. “I had to earn time for Andrea to approach the car,” he explained.
Another critical point concerns the partial transcriptions of the interceptions. Spoto rejects the accusation of intentional omissions: «The audio were disturbed, if a phrase was not clear I did not bring it back. Not by choice, but for correctness ».
The money and accusations rejected
Among the interceptions, the phrase “we have to pay those gentlemen there” was interpreted as suspect. Spoto clarifies her: “We were talking about lawyers, certainly not money to me.” When asked if he has ever taken money from the always, he replies clearly: «Never. I have crystal clear consciousness ».
A case that does not close
The discovery of the second receipt and the spy’s statements do not close anything, but they reopen everything. Each new card seems to add complexity instead of explanations. The Garlasco case remains an enigma which, after eighteen years, continues to divide public opinion, investigators and judiciary.
