Too many points thrown away against the provincial teams: why Milan always falls into the same flaw and what Allegri needs on the market. Provided that Cardinale and the management want to spend in January
Scattered notes after seeing Milan throw away yet another easy match of the season, extending the series of regrets for the points lost (9 out of 12) in the matches with the provincial teams of Serie A. Not a championship-winning pace, but this may not be a problem for the company’s plans, but it could also prove dangerous in terms of the Champions League if the championship continues to be a close sprint at the top of the table.
There is nothing casual about the draw that Sassuolo took away from San Siro with the luxury of being able to complain about something. Allegri the wise man said that one point is better than none and in the end it will be useful; he’s not wrong even if repeating the same script over and over again (Cremonese, Pisa, Parma and now Sassuolo) gets tiring in the long run.
Milan, the referee is not an explanation for the points lost
The referee Crezzini it has nothing to do with it and conjuring up imaginative burglaries makes no sense. The cancellation of Pulisic’s potential double advantage goal is at least less questionable than a couple of episodes in the Rossoneri area: match director and VAR abstained on all three occasions and it would be appropriate not to bring them up to cover errors and omissions of a team that regularly falls into the same defects.
The first: as soon as the attention threshold is lowered and the attention threshold on the pitch is raised because the opponent does not attack you, Milan concede goals in series. Even with a full defense as in the case of Koné and Laurienté. It is the signal that the low protection of Maignan’s goal is not a whim of Allegri but a necessity.
Second: Milan struggle too much to score goals and lack a central reference in attack. If it is true that statistically Pulisic and Leao are doing a good job, it is undeniable that they are not getting any kind of help from Gimenez (who saw it?) and Nkunku for whom, it should be remembered, over 40 million euros were spent.
Third and strangest to justify: the team with only one match, without cups and with free weeks to train shows unsuspected limits in condition. It also happened against Sassuolo and it is the third time in days played after the cups in which, according to logic, the Rossoneri should have gained a certain advantage over the competition for Europe or the Scudetto.
Allegri needs help from the transfer market, Cardinale, what are you doing?
The conclusion is that Milan are doing what they can and succeed and would need help from the January transfer market. Not necessarily a starting centre-forward, but at least someone who is more useful than those who are there now together with Leao and Pulisic and maybe even a central defender and a winger despite Bartesaghi’s continued growth. In his last Juventus year Max was betrayed in the winter by Giuntoli’s poor choices, what will Furlani and Tare do now? And, above all, who will take the responsibility of saying that there is not a euro in cash and that no loss-making investment is authorized, if this really should be Cardinale’s policy?
