Pleasant not only on the palate: here are the many facets of chocolate between pastry, cosmetics and well-being
If there is an ingredient capable of crossing kitchens, cosmetic laboratories and fashion ateliers without losing its identity, it is chocolate. In Milan, this exquisite transversality of one of the most evocative products in the world has found a new opportunity to tell its story, this time from a very particular point of view. On 31 October 2026, the Pasticceria Cremeria Buonarroti hosted «Chocolate, what a passion!», an event that happily combined artisanal tasting, nutritional research and hat design.
When chocolate meets fashion
What made the event even more unusual and fascinating was the presence of three hat designers: Lina Naspro, Claudia Bosticco And Lara Caputo. Their contribution has shifted the focus from the table to aesthetics, opening an almost unprecedented dialogue between the world of food and that of sartorial creativity. A combination that could undoubtedly seem daring, but which in reality follows a very precise logic: both artisanal chocolate and a custom-made hat are the result of refined technical gestures, of conscious material choices, of a vision that goes beyond function.
Chocolate in health and cosmetics
The scientific study was entrusted to the doctor Michela Squeoexpert in functional medicine. His speech guided the audience through the nutritional properties of cocoa, inviting them to distinguish between what research has actually demonstrated and what remains in the field of commercial promises. A balanced approach, in a sector where marketing suggestions too often precede reality. Cocoa, in fact, is also present in cosmetics: masks, body treatments and skin care formulations exploit its sensorial characteristics. An ingredient that moves with surprising ease between pastry making and beauty rituals.
The event was organized in collaboration with Le Salon de la Mode. The result is a hybrid format, designed for those who consider food not only as nourishment (that would be very simplistic) but also as history, culture, tradition and identity. Tasting, fashion and well-being, therefore, were not presented in the form of separate compartments, but as the substance of a single story. That of an ancient ingredient which, expertly handled, can still provide pleasant novelties.
