Songwriting, psychedelia, hip hop and jazz funk. Above all Enrico Ruggeri with Plato’s Cave
It’s a real album Plato’s Cave Enrico Ruggerihighly poetic, multifaceted from a musical point of view, full of reflections on free thought. An album that is the result of a great musical culture and more. With some splendid pieces such as Circo marvel, The heroes of silent cinema, Gorla’s little girl and Goodbye.
In second place in our provisional Top 15 is the album of the consecration of Lucio Corsi, one of the very few positive notes of the latest Sanremo. In third place, Niuiorcherubini by Jovanotti, recorded in just six days of jam sessions in New York, between Brooklyn and Astoria (Queens). All live on analogue tapewithout overdubs or corrections.
To follow, another songwriting with Eugenio Finardi who celebrates fifty years of career with Tutto, a very important album, and Niccolò Fabialways in focus and never banal.
We also really liked Orgia Mistero dei Neoprimitivesa dazzling album that comes out of another space-time dimension, the exact opposite of all the stereotypical banalities of Italian playlist music of this time. Orgia Mistero moves boldly into the orbit of the 70’s between psychedelia, kraut rock and funk. Beautiful.
Like Neapolitan Funk by Giancarlo Pernaa very classy album in a jazz funk key. And then, again Salmo, Guè and Fabri Fibra to represent a mature and consolidated sound universe, light years away from rap/trap kids and their insignificant lyrics.
